Gayatri's First Crush- LKG

Its amazing how Kids grow so soon. My little angle is having a Crush on some guy in her class. Gayatri is 3 years and seven months old and she said she likes a Guy in her class names 'Akash manu' ( I don't know if she knows the name correctly). When I asked her what do you like in the guy she mentioned that he once he pushed her but said 'I am sorry' to her immediately. So she likes him.
Choo cute. At home when ever we all ask her about the guy she blushes!!!
I am really enjoying their childhood and innocence. When i asked Bhavani if she likes any one in her class/ who is your friend, she says Gayatri only. but in their conversations they talk and give statements like: 'Sanjana's mom is a Doctor' etc.
Today Bhavani noticed my feet and said 'Ma your Feet are looking very beautiful'. Then I said, 'yes because I cut my nails, so they look neat'. then she said 'If I cut my nails mine will also look good No!!'

My girls are growing and observing every thing.
Bhavani sometimes makes a sad face and says I wont eat any thing. When I ask her why? She replies that 'If I eat I'll grow big but I want to become very small and sit in your tummy with you'. :)
I wish I was a mummy Kangaroo!!

Motherhood is so beautiful and tough at the same time. Today my kids are in school (Its only 12.24 AM) & when I dropped them I dint want to leave (Monday morning blue).I feel like being with them all the time. But I know it is not possible. May be I will take them out in the evening and we will spend some time together.
Hope so!

Graduated Play school

It has been along time that I updated this blog. Kids have become 3 and half now. They were in The Nest play school last year. Now they have graduated and are all set to join a school in IIT M called Van vani. We chose this school due to proximity to my work area.
Babies participated in Fancy Dress in their previous school (Nest). Here are a few pics and videos for you to enjoy.

Brats....spoilt and pampered

two little mummy's

B & G are copy cats...check them out with their Dad.
Having a ball of time.
they copy exactly what we do, say, the way we behave, the way we nod and what not

Papa Mishra

One thing about Kids is that you dont know what is going to come out of them the next minute. Bhav, Gats call Ro by a lot of innovative names like: Lion, Sonu papa, pops, poppy, and the latest is 'Papa Mishra'! Bhavu was trying to write some thing on Ro's hand and when he asked her what she is writing, she replied that she is writing his name which is papa mishra.
We found it so funny, innovative, and just amazing.
Every day they both are transforming in to totally different people. Every hour they change their clothes and roles. One day Bhavu will like to wear only soft cotton spaggatti, next day she would insist on wearing a shiny top with golden skirt.
Gattu ,will be like a wild cat at one moment, beating me,screaming, shouting, yelling and after some time she will like to lie down like a small baby in my lap, and the very next moment she will hold my head in her lap and become my mom, singing a song, patting my hair.
I am just amazed and so is Ro at the wonder which we see infront of our eyes every day.
Some times they are like kids, some times like lovely ladies.
Every day we feel that very soon this time will fly away and we will have an empty nest, just the way my parents have now....but relax...let me enjoy them, today.

Chennai Play Schools

Here is a list of Play Schools in Chennai that I have scanned till now:

1) Kids Central- Kids dint get admission, as the owner of the school felt that they are very active.Fee- 10 K + 13 K +2 K per semester
2) Euro Kids- Morning batch is not available, don't want afternoon batch as kids sleep during that time, rooms are small, no sand pit, no big play area.Fee- 18 K per semester
3)The Alps- Small play area, OK rooms, near to home. Fee 16 k per semester
4) The Nest- Big play area, friendly teachers, flexible, not in walking distance from my home. Fee 2 K + 2 k per semester
5) Bambino- OK play area, no. of students more, 10 mins car drive from home.Fee- yet to find out
6)Sivasai Priya- Near home , only 10 kids, lots of toys, no play area. Fee Rs. 500 per month.

I like Sivasai and The Nest because there are no rule for toddlers. I am going to visit Bambino again today and check out the features.

Its not a child's play I must say.

Play School

To choose a play School for my todlars is a tough task. Though many people may feel other wise,I feel it is not a kids thing to choose a play school.
There are so many things one has to look for in a play school, I am listing down the ones that I am looking for:

  1. Vicinity to home
  2. Student Teacher Ratio
  3. Play area- sand pit size, pool size
  4. Trained staff
  5. List of Activities
  6. Snacks etc provided by the school
  7. Cleanliness- maintenance
  8. Bathrooms- hygiene, loo seats
  9. Safety- proper latches ,round corners etc
  10. First Aid Facility

These are my basic priorities.

I might be loosing out on many things but I think if we can find these in one school then the kids can start the programme.

I am going to get my babies enrolled to a school near my place today. I am looking forward towards the new experience of making them more independent kids.

My expectations from the Toddlar programm is-

Little discipline, Socialising, Learning- shapes, colours etc, will be constructively occupied.

Best of luck mama
